I sure glad to have found Pi speakers. I'll be buying a pair of One Pi or Two Pi bass reflex in kit form and have a few questions. What come with the kit and what is the recommended cabinet material for these models. Could you also please tell me the frequency response for each model? Thanks.

Illuminati (33rd Degree)

The frequency response of the one π loudspeaker is 70Hz to 20kHz, +/-3dB. The two π is 65Hz to 20kHz and the tower two π is 40Hz to 20kHz. Each has nice smooth rolloff, slightly overdamped, so room lift brings up the bottom end without making them sound boomy.

Kits include the speaker drivers, the connector panel, hook up wires, "π" logo decal and a printed copy of the plans. For larger speakers that incorporate a compression tweeter and crossover network, kits also include the crossover, Zobel woofer damper, and all cable assemblies are completed and ready to install. Every kit containing a compression driver also includes the horn flare and the bolts to mount the driver to the horn.

Most everyone recommends building an enclosure with Baltic Birch plywood. You may need to seek out a specialty lumber supplier in your area to get this for you.

Once you build the cabinet per the specs from Pi, you simply drop in the speaker components, attach the speaker terminal assembly to the back and you are ready to listen to music. Very simple process; one that I went through a few months back.
