I've heard the Edgar Titans on several occasions (I'll never forget the first time; I loved them)and all his various tractrix at Spkrmans over the years. No ones put more salad bowls on BR cabs than Ron. I've also heard the 'big' bowl horns, you know, the one's painted in automotive colors.

They all share a sound that is somewhat laid back and at the same time oh-so-clear. Seductively so. But there's also a darkish coloration to my ears that seems almost vintage.

IMHO opinion, that's not what live music sounds like. Tractrix lack dynamics and the ability to slam a wavefront into your head when that's called for or the instant de-acceleration of the wave on a subito piano.

Of course, I could be wrong.
