guy sounds a little whacky, but I always use brass screws since you can darken 'em easily and they look good dark with just a touch of brass showing at the edges. I also put them in staggered and torque metal consistently, so I wouldn't know if this works or not! Flap away!

Ok I believe that the butterfly has a bigger impact on the sound, But I would prefer the brass.
