The layout of the drivers in an SRX 4725 is very similar to the 4 Pi. The crossover is also similar (in at least 1 respect), in that it's crossed at about 1.6kHz. Wayne, I don't know if you've seen these, but would love to hear any ideas you might have, as I have a pair of the 4725 with it's pro style drivers (2426H comp driver on biradial 2370 horn) and 2226H and will be getting them up and running to see how they sound as home-hifi speakers.

Anything I should be looking at in terms of adapting these to home-fi usage?

I think the JBL SRX 4725 is a pretty good speaker, but I think the four π is much smoother sounding. I suspect most of this is due to the crossover, part is probably the horn.

I use the SR4725's for home rig w/ a 45 SET & this is much better than one would suspect. I would try it definately with a GOOD tube amp. Scary dynamics, that with good recording's & clean front end shine bigtime.
