I've been offered a G(4ohm) and H(8ohm) 2226 in need of re-conning. Price wise these are viable, but can I use an 8 ohm re-cone kit in the 4 ohm speaker to make them a matched pair? Is there anything else I should consider if looking at some S/H units?

Thanks

Paul W.

Yes, you can recone as needed. One of the really great things about JBL 22xx drivers is that as long as the basket is in good shape, you can recone and expect 100% good-as-new performance.
