I'm pondering whether or not to rebate the horn, whether the improved aesthetics are worth the trouble invloved. Making a template, hand-carving the four radii, and beefing up the baffle thickness will be almost as much work as the whole rest of the project.

What say you?

I like the looks of recessed mounting, but I don't buy into the idea of improved acoustics. The edge is much too thin to matter, in my opinion. So the improvement is purely aesthetic.

I don't remember for sure, but I'm almost positive those were surface mounted.
