Hi, just coming to the end of the mid cabinet build and will be starting on the bass unit soon. In a previous thread I noted that you suggested furniture table leaf pins as a way of locating the two cabs. Rather than use these I was wondering if I could use some metal pro speaker stacking feet and cups I already have. The only issue I can see is that as the cone and cup are surface mounting there would be just under a 7/8" gap between the two cabinets - would this be an issue?

That'll work just fine. The crossover between bass bin and midhorn is low so you have a lot of wiggle room.
