Hi Wayne

I think this pairing needs to be tried in an open baffle. A serious, but scaled down OB, biamped, active EQ on the bass driver, and a little SET amp with gain control on top, I heard the DE250 and it rips. It is lovely. No zing no ting. It lives up to its growing reputation. Can bi amp be an option here? I would likely use a 90' waveguide.

Biamp is an easy option. Just make external connections for the crossover. That's how we make the six π, seven π and any other speaker with an externally mounted tweeter. We install the crossover in a small cabinet and make all connections outboard. This makes it easy to biamp or triamp instead.
