I run my towers with a 3/4 watt 12B4 SET amp in a 15x14' room. They get plenty loud for normal listening. You ain't gonna shake stuff off the wall with less than a watt, but many people are surprised at how loud they will get. And the tube amp should offer some nice soft clipping at louder levels.
