Due to size constraints and my despire to use the PSD2002, is it possible to build a Studio Two Tower ( with the Alpha 10" ) and to use the PSD2002/H290 in place of the Vifa DX25. If so what changes would be necesary to the X/O?

Alternatively, would the Thermonice Three be better and have more bass? I could possibly just about go to this size if I had to!

Do either of these require a sub woofer? Apparently the Two Tower does not, but what about the Thermonic Three? The Theatre Four are just not possible and I know that these would be the ideal solution!

The amplifier to drive these will be a 300B S.E.T.

Many thanks and any comments would be valued.

Derek

Add a midhorn and PSD2002 tweeter horn to a two π tower and you have an eight π:

Ok Wayne, I appreciate that what I am seeking is in fact the Eight Pi, but looking at the size of the cabinet, it looks to be - large - to say the least, 10cu.ft, whereas the Tower Two is half that. So this is what I am wondering is if I can use the cabinet of the Two Tower with the PSD2002 horn, rather than build the Eight ( which I am sure is a better solution), since 5cu ft is the absolute max volume I can do in the intended room.

That said, I would still like to get the plans for the eight!... just in case... !!!!

Thanks again for you advise and help in this,

Derek

The eight π rear chamber is 5 cubic feet [message #51238 is a reply to message #51236] Thu, 05 July 2007 21:24 Go to previous messageGo to next message

The midhorn takes up some space, but the rear chamber is only 5ft3. It looks like a mini-VOTT, but it isn't nearly as large.
