i managed to get a pair of 2226, i know what to do with the box , can u please let me know what should i do with my x over?

Just remove the Zobel (R3 and C5) and the 10uF capacitor (C4) from the woofer circuit.

With the 2226 a 1.6khz crossover is recommended.

For 2226H - .7 mh coil
For 2226J - 1.4 mh coil

3rd order hi pass w/HF EQ per Pi speaker crossover.

Wayne can provide the exact schematics if you ask him.

I did the same with the 2225H woofer in a temporary 4Pi clone, but when I run the auto eq. in my surround receiver, it eq´s 2khz and 4khz about 6-8db down.
I think the 2225 needs a second order filter.

You're right that the 2225 generates less output above 1kHz than the 2226. You really can't use the 2225 up as high; Best to crossover the 2225 below 1kHz. It's a good woofer for a seven π, but isn't suitable for a four π speaker, at least not without making crossover changes to lower the crossover point.
