I think Kevin Smith is kinda cool. He's the guy that wrote movies like "Chasing Amy" and "Dogma" and the upcoming "Jersey Girl." He also does the "Jay and Silent Bob" stuff and is buddies with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Others in this motley crew include Jason Mewes, Chris Rock, Jason Lee and a whole bunch of other folks. They have their own sort of Rat Pack and they each sometimes participate on the View Askew messageboard. That's what those links were - Posts from Kevin on the forum. Look around and you'll find some from the other guys too, particularly back a few years ago, 'bout the same time that Dogma was out.

HI Wayne,
I kinda liked the pseudo-grungy, urban single life lived-in-coffee bars and only-eat-in-diners chic of these movies too. I have seen the Jay & silent bob flicks, as well as Dogma & chasing amy. If you liked chasing amy, you will probably like its male counterpart: The object of my affections, as well, if you havent seen it already! Both flicks are euqally messed up.
Hmm thanx for the heads up on Jersey girl..will try to check it out.

-Did not know that Kevin Smith was the creative genius behind these epics.. ( i say it only slightly tongue in cheek). I like his style.

Oh, did you see 200 cigarettes? I din;t like it that much...but it;s the same genre.

It's worth a couple of bucks to rent....but not as good as the other flicks.
