Wayne what is the ideal crossover frequency of the 2 Pi Towers?
I wind my own coils and would like to start.

Thanks

The tweeter uses a 10μF series capacitor with a 16Ω shunt damping resistor placed directly across the tweeter. The series coil in the woofer circuit is 0.5mH. No Zobel is used, so it doesn't form a true first-order crossover. The voice coil has fairly high DC resistance, so the series coil acts partially as a low-pass filter, but the voice coil also has inductance which makes it act partially like a two-coil inductive voltage divider.

Thanks Wayne.

I was going to wind new coils on my AVO winding machine but with as low a DCR as possible to ensure minimal loss in efficiency.

Would you recommending that I rather use the kit supplied unit as it is matched DCR wise too? (I have not received kit yet obviously)

Ta

Mark

The coils that come with the kits are pretty nice, but you can sure upgrade them with your own, if you like.
