It sounds great. There is a distinct accurate bass I'm not used to. My wife and I listened to Phantom of the Opera, one of her favorites, She liked it so much She will allow them (the second will follow) in the family room despite their size. The finish will be flat black paint.

You should consider using a dye stain to make them blue for that room.
