Hi Wayne,
The Specs from Eminence are working allready (see below).
Now I can see that resonance is about 511Hz. Not bad, taking in account that PSD 2002's is 550Hz. Le is a bit high (doesn't show on specs). Re looks as normal at 4.8ohms (the same as in other drivers). Maybe is a bit short after 10K but compensation (and horn) is (or can be) the miracle. Voice coil diameter is huge at 3" (76.2mm).Yet, compare this monstrous driver with this one (D3300Ti-2") not much less in size, 102dB at 20K applying 1W/1m, frequency response 500 to 25,000 Hz (-10dB) and on plane wave tube 117 dBSPL. Wayne, I know your meticulous work with all the drivers (Eminence included) is a great work. After you tested it for your applications post us updated. You might then have 6 (six) different working high freq. drivers (or tweeters) on all your setups.
... at least here in your webpage. I don't want to know about, in your lab/workshop... much less in the big Grand Concert Hall.

Way, way back when, I used a Fostex super-tweeter with an aluminum diaphragm. Loved it. It was the only horn tweeter I've heard with the sparkle of a ribbon, good clear out to 40kHz. But it was very delicate, low power handling, and minimum crossover frequency was 5kHz. So it didn't really fit with anything. It wasn't a match for full horn-loaded speaker systems, because it was too delicate to match their dynamic range. And it wasn't a match for direct radiators, because it was too dynamic for use with them. It was in-between, in a place that I couldn't find a good home for, much as I tried. But it sure was a nice sounding tweeter.

You can't play music too loud in many of the Japanese domiciles. They also like low powered amps. Since the Radian drivers are designed for pro environments, I doubt they are as fragile as the Fostex super tweeters. A lot of the treasured Altec-Lancing compression drivers have aluminum diaphragms. Dave
