Hi, Wayne do you like the Alpha-6A for the voices/mid-section in a 3-Way configuration? Would you rather use another speaker or configuration. This one seems pretty reasonable to me as a 1. choice in a future next-to-do-at-home-project speaker.

I couldn't use it in any of my designs, but that's because I needed a lower crossover point than it would allow. It just wasn't suited for my needs. I do think it would make a great midrange in some applications.
Many Thanks Wayne, In my present design I'am using xover points of 900 / 1000 / 1100 Hz, maybe tuning it for 1000 Hz. Do you think I am cutting the midrange/voices a little bit here instead of going lower? Regards.
dB- (Pardon my butt-in, Wayne.) You can find a design for the Alpha-6A on the Adrian Mack website, at www.geocities.com/adrian_mack/homepage.html. It's a 300Hz conical horn in a 3-way system that bears some resemblance to a Martinelli design.
I was looking at the 3-way system, with the 15" bass, the 6"(?) conical mid and the detached 1" woodhorn/driver combo. Sorry, I simply assumed it was a Martinelli design since it appeared on his homepage. Adrian Mack's "High Effinciency Speakers" display had a remarkably similar layout, but with the horn included within the cabinet, and the midrange device is the 300Hz conical mentioned earlier.

Hmm. I don't know what Martinelli is doing these days, but I know he is no longer making the conical midhorn I designed. I changed cabinet shops several years ago.
I think you have a 6" "High Effinciency Speakers" allready Wayne?! Great stuff here. I knew there were some "black/secrect" projects going on. I absolutely must stay connected (if was not for exams). Now I just get nervous and excited just from enter to this Forum, if it was not from the "male and female" by Garlandgarland. Great stuff Wayne, Cuppa Joe.
