Eminence Kilomax 18. Tuned to 25 Hz. Where has this been all my life?

Can anybody, besides me, get away with a 23 cu ft box in your living room?

Those Eminence woofers just love big boxes, don't they?!!

Hehe,Im expecting 95% of people cant fit,or not allowed one of these! You could probably get away with half the volume, and some EQ/room gain

That's close to the alignment I use for the Kilomax 18 in a seven π-18 bass bin, 9.0ft3 tuned to 25Hz. The response curve you've shown is almost identical to what I'm getting.

Hi Wayne.

Yeh I much prefer the overdamped response-which probably has alot to do with reflex getting such bad press.

Hows things? Its been a rollercoaster year for me.

I've always tended towards overdamped alignments too. They can be made smaller than sealed cabinets and have deeper extension without being boomy.

Things are great, but I'm enormously busy. I've been working on a couple of speaker projects but progress is slower than I'd like. I'm just so busy, there's not enough time in the day!

Hi guys. Nice to be back. I just send my front and back panel drawings to CNC factory in my country?! (after they are closing factories everywhere) isn't life good? They can also build metal and inox parts if I need.
I heard Genelec uses sheet Metal in their subs. (SONOmag Nov2006 pag.84 - 'bandes d'acier pour le caisson de basse' - and Dec2006 pag.36)
Wood I'm using: WISA-Form Birch 21(mm) plywood, they said it varies btw 19-20mm. I asked a reinforcement (around the speaker) in the back for the woofer of another 21mm that makes it about 4cm (about 1 1/2")thick for a 10" bass speaker and 4 screws 'à la JBL'. Wayne, do you know were to get the supports for the woofers they use with the screw. The normal 8 holes in my speaker would bleed the rubber. Life is not perfect, besides I like this idea and CNC is a new world (and time apart). This major manufacturer I am doing business with (CNC) just started a few years ago as a garage small industry.
Keep the nice work. Thankyou for keeping us informed.
