Ive started looking again at building some HE speakers and have really been attracted to the JBL K2s and Klipsch CF-4. Other than the cost of two additional drivers, any compelling reasons why not to do this. Any thoughts of designing something similar? What makes them nice is the extra efficiency gained, building up and keeping the footprint smaller, maybe increased LF, and not needing corner loading. Also, seems that a WTW helps when using the speaker in a smaller room by integrating the woofers/tweeters better. How about two Pi 3s with a horn in the middle. Three smaller enclosures are sure easier to move than one monster too.
