I have recently purched a pair of otis 140hz horns , these horns have a mouth dia. of 32" round, TL of 17" and a 7" thorat dia . I was looking for sugestions for a good 10" driver to suit this horn.
wayne the back chamber of the horn is to be sized so the driver will resensate at the horn cut off , is this correct ? say if its a 140 hz horn the driver should resenate at 140 hz Bill

You can do that; It's called reactance anulling and is common practice on basshorns. But I didn't design the π midhorn that way - It's designed to have an open back. The π midhorn actually works well with any rear chamber larger than 0.5ft3. In practice, I don't like the rear chamber to be open because I don't want the rear wave to be presented to the room and interact in any way, so I like using the unused space in the midhorn cabinet as a rear chamber and filling it with absorbent material.
