I've never been here befor. So im not fimiliar with how things are done. I want to get a kit. I was looking at the 8" studio kit. What will this kit include? I was hoping drivers and crossover components. I can asseemble crossovers and build boxes. I just need the stuff to do it. Will it come with any instructions or box plans? And are these speakers of good audio grade. I am working with a set of BR-1's right now from partsexpress.com. If you can answer these questions please email me the responce. Thanks

I know I did, originally. Typically, speakers aren't very useful seperately. Also, most stores price/sell speakers in pairs. However, from a marketing perspective, the single speaker pricing makes for a nice fish hook. $350 is much more palatable than $700, and 2x$350 still sounds easier to swallow than $700. Its all about perception.

The reason we list them individually is because so many people these days are running an odd number of speakers, like 5.1 for a home theater installation. If we sold everything in pairs, then we'd have to sell 1/2 kit for guys wanting a single. Seemed easier to just list everything qty 1, and if a person wants a stereo pair, then they buy two.The prices for all the kits are pretty much cost, less than what you'd pay for individual parts from Parts Express or most anywhere else. A Stage four π kit for example costs about $335.00 if you buy everything yourself from Parts Express, the woofer is $185.00, the tweeter is $50.00, the horn flare is $30.00 and the crossover parts add up to about $70.00 ($32.00 for PXB, $12.00 for zobel resistor, $15.00 for Zobel caps, $8.00 for tweeter cable assy and a few bucks for the connector plate and wire). Our kit is $285.00 so you save fifty bucks and don't have to solder everything up, which takes a couple hours to do.
