Finally after having the completed shell and intestines in storage for over two years, I finally decided to complete my two Pi towers.

Initially I wanted them as front speakers together with three one Pis for a Home theatre system, but I was discouraged at what my HT amplifier delivered. I will use them therefore for stereo only.

The reason that I had them away for so long was that I really wanted to have them veneered, but I eventually changed my mind and had them painted. After completing them, I hooked them into my Denon Amp and man what a sweet sound. I'm impressed Solid Bass, clear mids and crisp highs, the piezos sound just fine. I,m sure they will sound even better when I change the amplifier for a better one.

I haven't heard of any other builders of PiSpeakers in South Africa, if there are any near me, I will be glad to hear from them. I am in Pretoria.

I tried to put pictures on the web and I hope you can access the URL below. I painted them with one coat wood primer, one coat universal undercoat and three coates of Plascon suede, a translucent type paint that gives a 3d effect. I applied the finishing coat with a hard brush to give it a slight wood grain effect. I will try to varnish it by this week end.

The one pis are incomplete as I cannot find 60mm cardboard tube anywhere. If I don't, I will settle for plastic.

Thanks for all your help over the years Wayne.
