I know you don't want ports too small, but when there is a choice between one large diameter port, or two smaller diameter ports, is there any difference?

My 18" reflex boxes have 8" dia ports and for a laugh my son (an adult(!)) put his head in one and pretended to be stuck. His friends thought it was funny and I regretted my wife taking the camera with her that morning. John
