Here goes...

Situation:
I picked up a pair of JBL 2446J (160hm) compression drives with horns.

Current Configuration:
I have 4 Pi Towers (LaPaier's, 6.5 cubic ft), loaded with Eminence 15" Delta Pros and PSD2002 and an Eminence/PI 2-way 1.6KHz crossover. The 4 Pi's sound excellent!

Picked up the 2446J's because I'm infected with the audio diy virus.

Short Term Goal:
What crossover modifications would I have to make to simply connect the JBL 2446J in place of the PSD2002s. Would I to hear and compare.

Mid Term Goal:
Build a crossover - crossed over at perhaps 500Hz - 800Hz? This would be a better frequency for the JBL 2446J.

Please advise, or suggest a more rational approach.

There are 500Hz, 800Hz, 1kHz, 1.2kHz and 1.6kHz two-way crossovers with top-octave compensation on the π crossover schematic document and also in the Spice distribution. You might check them out and see which one you liked best. I think you'll find at least one of them will work very well for you.
