I don't have my kits yet so I don't know how big the cutout needs to be for the crossover, but I would like to know so I can make detailed preparations now.

This also begs another question regarding actual installation of the drivers/crossover into the cabinet: does the cutout need to be big enough so I can pull the crossover and wires through or can I pull the wires through first and then attach them to the crossover? If the cutout can be smaller and the wires attached later, does that mean I have to make the crossover hole big enough for my hand or a suitable tool to fit in order to pull the wires through?

Finally I am curious where the ideal placement for the crossover cutout would be. Thanks in advance to any and all replies!
