Hi all!

I am currently a Magnepan owner, but would like to build a pair of speakers for use exclusively with an amp I have on hand. (An older Golden Tube SE40) The amp is rated about 40 watts per channel, but I have heard it is realistically around 25 at 8 ohms. This site has been recommended to me and I hope someone can guide me in making the proper choice. I have the ability to do carpentry work and am handy with a soldering iron. I dont have any size restrictions.
TIA,
Andy

With that amp, you should have no problem with any of the Pi speakers. Your amp would have different outputs at different degrees of distortion, but 25watts would be plenty. After that, if you have corners with about 3' on each wall available, Wayne always recommends the corner horns, 7 series, and they are all great value if you build them yourself. I'm listening to Stage 4's now really enjoy them.
