Hi there,

I seem to progress, but still the custom port (many layers of mdf routed and glued) to be made, but cabs are oiled and looking good:). Why? cause I chose a weird shape of the port. I did keep the area the same though.

Now it's time to let dry, surfaces soaked. Patiance I guess i a good thing.

That speaker looks great! Looks like it won't be long now and you'll be making music!

I like the flush-mounting for the horns. Gives a very finished look. Did you do that free-hand or with a router and template guides?

Thanks, it does give the whole louspeaker a less DIY and more professional look. As per some advice here I went for it as I didn't want to forke out all that effort/time and money for an obviously home-made speaker. Now it's more subtle....

me freehand?? LOL:) I followed the instructions as per a very helpfull poster here...you!!? With one succesfull run to create the first template you are home free. I then used the same template approach for the port....it has the same dimension height-wise as the horn cut-out.
