What are the impedance charcteristics of the various 4 Pi Series speakers? As mentioned earlier, I am running 2A3 SET amps which really need a speaker with a very flat impedance. Any suggestions as to which version would be most appropriate? Jim D.

Wright Sound WPA3.5 (2A3) monoblocks. Wonderful amps. I've been listening to a pair of Reimer McCullough speakers (6" woofers in an MTM arrangement with a Morel tweeter) for the last three years. They are rated at 93 dB, and go down pretty damn low for a small monitor, but I'm ready for something different and want to experience some big woofers for more realistic bass. Of course I've read the entire range of thoughts on which woofers are best, and am getting quite confused by it all. Everyone has an opionion, and it's always different than the last one!

If you have the room, definitely the Theatre 4's. They were my first high efficiency speakers following Meadowlark Kestrels. What a revelation! Anyone who thinks bass can come from a 5 or 6" speaker is just wrong! The Delta's go deep with very good definition. They're well-balanced too with the PSD-2002. 2226 JBL's are tighter sounding and other compression horns may have varied superior attributes to the Eminence but overall, for about $500 dollars and a weekend of time, no better value.
