Wayne, I've been going through the threads here, very interesting. Was wondering if you or some of the other contributors ever considered a speaker design that would lend itself to near field monitoring in audio post production? Most near fields strive for a pretty flat response which allows bad mixing (that would be me) to be immediately heard without coloration from the speaker. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, thanks.

You might want to look at the Professional Series three π.

Thanks for the response Wayne, but I don't see a Pro Series 3 listed on the site either as a kit or a compete speaker.

I just finished design and testing. Plans are available and they've been discussed on this forum, but they aren't listed on the website yet. I can send you the plans if you're interested.

The Professional Series three π uses a JBL 2206 and Vifa DX25.
