Wayne,
What,if any, differences exist between the sonic characteristics of the 15" JBL driver in the Pro 4 and the 12" JBL driver used in the Pro 3, other than the obvivous greater bass extension of the former? I am wondering if while giving some bass extension with the 12" if you gain anything with it such as greater detail, clarity etc. in the midbass and midrange.

The 2206 just doesn't go as deep. They sound very similar in the midrange. Both the 2206 and the 2226 are very good speakers.
