Hi All

My pro fours are still in the shop and I am not sure they will have access to the livingroom (SWMO's opinion). So I am searching for other options. I am able to put a largeish sub (such as Bills T36S) under the (to be homebuild) couch. I have got a pair of 2206. They pialign in 0.73 ft^3 which really is a very small enclosure. Assuming cornerplacement hanging from the ceiling with the tweeter below the woofer, how low can I cross to the sub, hopefully around 60-70 Hz) ?

Wayne Do you still have the Pro 3 plans using the 2206's. If so, I would like a set.

Cheers and take care with the tablesaw.
Andreas

The Pro three π now uses a DX25 tweeter. I just finished testing about a month ago, and it's a very good loudspeaker. I suggest pairing it with a JBL 2245 in a 10.0ft3 box tuned to 30Hz for a sub. Another option is a JBL 2235 in the same size cabinet, but tuned to 23Hz.

No problems, I was just slow to send. The ink on these plans is still wet. I was commissioned to design them for a home theater install recently, and I have just finished finalizing the details.

Wayne,
Picking up on Andreas' question, approximately where is the -3db down point on the Pro 3? Any reason why you couldn't use the JBL compression tweeter and Eminence horn on top of the cabinet since I understand that interior room is limited in the Pro 3 cabinet? If so would the Pro 3 use the same crossover as the Pro 4? I am guessing that there may be many interested in a top of the line all JBL system in a size a little smaller than the Pro 4s to use with a subwoofer crossed over around 60-80HZ.

The Professional Series three π loudspeaker has f3 of 60Hz. The last version used a compression driver and horn, so you could make that version just like you've described.
