I'm thinking about adding a subwoofer to go with the Studio 2's, since I'm "hitting them hard" at high volume with alot of bass. I was thinking something along the lines of the Dayton Quattro 10" subwoofer. I have just enough mdf left to build them in a ported cabinet as recommended here: Dayton Quattro Ported. It looks very interesting to me since its very small and can produce low bass at high spl's, and its cheap too! What would be a good frequency to cross over with the Studios in a small room (17' X 12'). I was thinking around 100 Hz. What about slopes? Should I go for a high (24 db Linkwitz) or medium (12 db/oct dec?) slope? Thanks in advance...
