Hello, seller claims these came out of JBL 4344 and 4346 speakers. Can these be used in place of the 2123H with success? Thanks,

Hmm, what specs are you using? The ones I have are poles apart and no way will they interchange without some serious compromising of midbass/LF performance. GM

Fts is much lower than the 2123 and Qts is too. Vas is much higher on the 2122, and it can be used as a midbass or a midwoofer, whereas the 2123 really can't be. But I think Cody was planning to use the driver as a midrange, which will make bass performance less relevant. Here are the specs:2122H Fts=40, Qms=1.9, Qes=0.26, Qts=0.23, Vas=2.3ft3 2123H Fts=85, Qms=2.5, Qes=0.37, Qts=0.32, Vas=0.7ft3

Well, I think they will to. It's a fair sized investment for all JBL motors. I have been fortunate enough to stumble on some good bargins on the "older model" JBL drivers; The 2225H intead of 2226H, the 2123H instead of the newer 2013H and the 2425H instead of the 2426H. This saved about 50% over buying the brand new motors which would be nice, but a little beyond the range I wanted to spend. I still need the crossovers, the cabinets and various odds and ends, not to mention the midhorns and some kind of horn flare for the 2425H drivers. Right now they have the plastic flare for the 4 PI studio size, I believe it was model H-290. I was going to use the 2425 H and 2225H in a 4 PI, but when I got a set of the 2123H I decided to go for it with the 7Pi version w/ the mid horn. I need something else for the high frequency flares, would love one of Bill M's .... but I'll have to wait awhile for that. Deferring gratification, Russellc
