Could you please explain the differences between the Pi 5 and Pi 8 other than corner horn vs. bass reflex woofer loading? Such as:

What is the size of the Pi 5?
Do the two designs share components
The same crossover? If not the same what are the differences?
What is the f3 cutoff for eash design?
Any other differences worth mentioning.

Searching past posts from this forum has provided me with so much information on horns that I previously had no ability to obtain. I now understand many of the benefits of this type of loudspeaker.

Again thank you for your help and thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum.

Best regards,
Eric

We don't have a current five π model. Right now, I'm really enamoured with the eight π speaker. It's horn loaded from the midrange up, and it works well in corners but doesn't require them.

Thank you Wayne, [message #45152 is a reply to message #45151] Tue, 03 August 2004 11:40 Go to previous message

I will continue to study the Pi 8 information that you sent me.
