Hi all,

I got my set of Pi 3 Thermionics a few months ago. Rather than try to DIY them, I opted to have them made for me. I choose Teak for the cabinets - Bill Martinelli did the work - and they came out beautiful. But as nice as they look, they sound even better. I'm hearing things I've never before. Very cool! :)

A big thanks to Wayne for the design and Bill for the construction.

Best Regards,
Gary

Those do look nice, Gary, particularly in your beautiful home. Thanks for posting the photo here.

You told me what amp you are running, but I've slept since then. Please refresh my memory - What do you use for the rest of your sound system?

Theater 3's, I assume? (nt) [message #45047 is a reply to message #45039] Thu, 22 July 2004 12:44 Go to previous messageGo to next message

Actually, they're the Thermionics.

Hi Wayne,

As much as I'd like to be able to say I have some cool high end tube stuff... Alas, I have a most modest setup: a Denon DRA-565RD 65 watt stereo receiver and a Poineer DV-563A DVD player. No home theater, no 5.1 surround - just a nice simple stereo that now sounds *way* better than it ever did! :)

Regards,
Gary

Sounds like a great system, Gary. I have a Harman Kardon stereo receiver that sounds way better than some of the high-end boutique stuff I've heard.
