Any audiophiles in your neighborhood?I know a real sweet lady who's husband passed away about ten years ago. He was an audiophile and kept his records in great shape. About five years ago, she offered me the whole collection. Super sweet, I owe her big time.
Then there is the other kind of record owners, people with collections of records stored out of their sleeves, played on ceramic cartridges with needles that were never changed. Seems like that's the way most vinyl is. Kinda have to know the owner to know the quality unless you can play the record before buying it.
Then again, if the whole lot is a dollar, what is there to lose?..
