So- I built one of the mid horns, using 3/4 ply, a 12X12X10 rear chamber, using one of my peavey scorpion 10", and it plays very well, indeed. Very nice and smooth. Now for some integration questions-

If I stack two vertical, I get:

Better pattern control (increased directivity)
3 to 6 db more output
lower cutoff freq

...right?

So I'm going to try a 2" EV driver, on a big ol HP940 horn,
two stacked mid horns, and possibly a 4Pi cabinet/woofer for the bottom. Now thats looking like nice PA stacks to me...

Sounds like a great plan. I really like the sound of these midhorns crossed to compression horns.

You're right about the benefits of stacking. In fact, in freespace, you would really want to stack at least a couple because the horn was designed for 2π maximum radiating angle.

Cool, have you got any pictures and measured response curves to share?
