Wayne,
After Ebaying for an long time, I got mixed up on my jbl numbers and have bid on 2425 drivers instead of 2426 as the plans call for. I can always use these for something, but will they work in the audiophile Pi 3-way as well as the 2426?
I also wondered if the 2118 driver would work as well as the 2123?

Thanks in advance,
Russystems

Oh, yeah, the 2425 tweeter will do just fine, and the 2118 will do nicely for your midrange too.

Wayne,
Do you know the approximate retail the 2118 and the 2425 went for?

Thanks, Russellc

Sorry Russell - I didn't see your post before bidding - I was the high bidder for these. I usually give way to members of forums I participate on (or at least ask before bidding).

The seller has yet to respond to shipping charges, but if you have been waiting quite some time for these I can cut a deal for what I bid (only a little above what you bid). I feel a bit bad about getting in the way.

And yes - these drivers should be OK - they don't go far low, so Xover is a bit of an issue.

Hello
I appreciate the sentiment, but you won, no big deal. On the other hand, if you don't need them (which I assume you do) and were just after them to have them, ( I buy lots of altec for no other reason than it looks like a good deal!) Then I am interested. Please don't feel obligated, you won fair and square. On the off chance you are interested in any altec high frequency drivers, I have several I am not using that we could trade for. I will have to look to make sure, but I believe I have a working pair of 802 8d with aluminum altec diaphrams, two pairs of 802 8D without diaprams, 808-8B with symbiotic altec diaphrams, and a set of 908-8B with altec symbiotic diaphrams. The 808 and 908 are VERY nice condition, The 802 look older of coarse, but are in working order.

Regards, Russellc
