A .75" ID vent is plenty. The cone displacement will still pump the same volume of air. Actually, if the vent is too big, the air will mostly just go back and forth in the vent and not get pumped out and replaced with cooler air. If you look at the power spectrum of audio by far most of the energy on average is up at 60-80 Hz where the cone excursion in the horn at high power is only about 2mm.
