After much consider I have decided to build the PI 2 speakers.

Could provide plans for both the standard and tower configurations.

I like the bass frequency of the Towers - is that that the biggest difference between the two in terms of audio quality?

Thanks
JIM

The difference between the two π and the two π tower speakers is bass extension. The two π has f3 around 60Hz and the two π tower is about 30Hz. That also means that the midwoofer is being required to run greater bandwidth in the larger model, so there are pros and cons with each. But both sound great, and I like them both.

Wayne;

Thanks for the 2 Pi Tower plans.

Went to Home Depot and had them cut the 3/4in MDF according to the plans - charged $.50 per cut - simplified this project significantly. Will enlarge the port 1/8in to accomodate the width of the MDF. The port diameter may have to be further increased due to bracing (resulting in decreased internal volume).

Will be ordering the kit once I have the cabinets staged.

Hakn
