I have seen posted over and over than line array modules only work in big numbers, (as a line array).

I understand that you need a large number of drivers to create a proper line array. But my question is why can you not simply use the induvidual module stand alone. Say two modules (1L, 1R) for say a small show, or maybe even 4 (2, 2R) to increase your vertical dispersion a little. I realize that you won't recieve the benifits of the line array anymore.

When the module is removed from the line would it not essentially become normal cabinet, only in a horizontal footprint?
