Hi Wayne,

I love your radio collection! Especially the first one you restored... rewinding the field-coil. Wow. I love the way mine sounds. It's not 'High-Fidelity', but it just sounds right and good. I hooked it up to my Pi 4's last night. It sounded much better. As I said, the voice coil is rubbing. Reconing won't fix that will it? Untill I read your post, I was (and may still) going to get a 8 ohm Delta 12a. But I'l give Dave a call tonight.

I got a schematic from Antique Electronic Supply, but alot of it I don't understand. It's got Police, Overseas, Broadcast and pushbutton bands. Only the broadcast and one pushbutton works right now. I think I need to clean the pushbutton contacts somehow. Do I just need a longer antenna wire to get Overseas (I'm assume this is really shortwave) band to work? I had fun fabracating a dial indicator and restringing the tuner knob and band selector light.

Gotta get back to work...
Tom
