Hello Wayne,
I would like to try a pair of your horns. My room is 15'W X 37' long.
I do not want to "rock out" but want good bass down to ~40 cycles.
I plan to use a Fostex driver on a open baffle from ~ 100 cycles up and to bi-amp. I will be seated ` 20 feet from the speakers
Which set of horns your horns would you recommend and with which drivers?

Thanks

Andrew

What's your budget and amplification? Does your room have corners suitable for cornerhorn loading at one of the 15' ends? If so, I'd be inclined to put JBL 2241's in a π cornerhorn configuration at each corner.

I would rather stay South of 1K.
I have an AKSA 55w/ch that has killer bass control as well as an old Carver with ~ 150w/ch

Yes.

If so, I'd be inclined to put JBL 2241's in a π cornerhorn configuration at each corner.

Okay, so which corner horns would you recommend and why?
Also any reason for a 18" as against a 15"? Is it because the room is so large?
When i think of a 18" its huge. I have to put my bigscreen tv between the corners as well. I should have told you that before.

Thanks

Andrew

Those amps will work great with seven π cornerhorns with 2241's. If you'd like, I'll send you the plans. The basic cabinet dimensions are described in the post called "seven Pi-18 cabinet dimensions."
