Depends How bad does beer affect your hearing and how tough is your equipment? Nothing like an unintended shunt to ground to confuse a drunk. Makes fuses do neat things too. Soldering drunk is like taking home someone from a bar. It's all good while your high, but... Thomas

I picked up a kit from Marchand Electronic to build a new crossover. I decided to build the solid state model XM44 with single ended and balanced connections. The tube model was a little over my head although after seeying it in the Marchand shop, It looks mint. Anyway I was having a few and seemed like a curious question to raise! I quit after a few beers anyway. Over 1400 solder points on the main board on this baby. plus 8 stepped attenuaters, a power supply and a lot of inputs. Its a busy thing that's for sure Bill

Hi Wayne! This is how it's looking so far. Still have all the outputs to wire in and the all the module boards to put together. This is the 4 way cross over and I just added a summed sub output tonight, both single ended and balanced. All Burr Brown OpAmps too.
This is the sub crossover and equalization unit called the Bassis. Its a duel channel unit so I just use one side.
I listened to the Marchand Tube crossover and it sounds very nice. The attenuator components are also very nice in that model. You should get going on the design you have been working on. I'm sure your busy or you would be on it. Always yet another project eh? Bill
