Have you ever seen a plasma tweeter? I'm not really interested in using them for a particular design, but they are certainly a curiosity. Plasma tweeters use a modulated Tesla coil to literally ionize the air enough to cause audible pressure changes.

contibute to the greenhouse effect? Seems like a bunch of interestingly charge particles escape. :-)

Would it sap up the oxygen in a closed space?

At large concerts it could replace the indoor use of pyrotechnics...

All in fun - I have seen the articles before, but never had a chance to audition. Anyone on the board had the opportunity?
