The cut off date for reserving rooms at LSAF is April 20, 2007. After that, you probably can't get a room at the Embassy Suites. So if you've put off making your reservation until the last minute, you should do it now.

Also, if you have any special needs, please call the Embassy Suites and work it out with them in advance. Some people setup equipment around the existing furniture, or only make small changes in furniture layout, moving chairs and such. But if what you have to do is more involved than that, please contact Embassy Suites in advance.

To make reservations by phone, dial 1-800-EMBASSY (800-362-2779) and tell them you are coming to the Lone Star Audiofest. The reservation agent will look it up and quote you the $99/nite rate.

The King Suite rooms are easily converted into listening rooms. You will have to move the TV and the table. The TV is in a heavy particleboard cabinet, and both pieces must be stored somewhere else, so it's best to ask the hotel to move them. Last year the Tulsa Embassy Suites charged me $20 for this service, which I considered reasonable for sending a porter with a moving dolly to cart the equipment off to a storage room.

I'll do it for free! I'm an early riser; I usually get up at 4:00 AM. I'll call you at 4:15 AM, or 4:30 AM if you want to sleep in after partying all night.

Another option would be to order your very own Clever Little Clock. If you tell them it's for a review they might knock off a few dollars. It will be useful as an alarm clock and will transform your system. I wonder, if you have one in your hotel room will it improve the sound of the systems in adjecent rooms?

(To cancel the early morning call request, PayPal $100 to fredaudio@houston.rr.com)

I have a question, as far as furniture is concerned, are they cpable of giving you the ballroom. I'm not sure if all Embassy suites have ballrooms or anything but I know most do.

Sure, you can rent any of the rooms. The conference rooms are all sold out at this late date though.
