Hi Garland!

I'd say that Paul is right on the money. He describes the resonance between the output transformer and the coupling capacitor - the parallel feed cap. And the larger the capacitor, the lower this frequency drops. The idea is to drop it well out of the passband, and this also lowers the cutoff point.
