...another Audiogon alumnus. haven't seen your moniker since Audiogon joined the National Socialists! Speakerman and I tried the 2's I built with Dynaco ST-70, Paramours Wave 8's and Norh something mono blocks. Paramours were sweet sounding as you'd expect but they put out a surprisingly high quality bass. In fact, that stupid Alpha 10" is very good down low.Waves were flat, lifeless, anemic. need some caps and things. The Norhs were better but very sold state-y. Kept coming back to the Dynacos: great bass control, clean and power ful mids and well balnced top. I'm thinking any quality 20 to 30 watt EL-84 or EL-34 or such is just right. Or maybe something tubey and vintage like a Counterpoint or bedini 25/25. Till, formerly known as Kitch29
