Hi Wayne,
Can I use a cheap 20 ohm 10 watts resistor in the 2Pis. I am using my Paramours now and would like to try if this has any effect on the sound. Thanks.

Are you thinking of putting the 20 ohm across the piezo? If so, you can do a test by just putting it across the speaker terminals. It's the same thing, but you don't have to pull anything apart. Nominal impedance goes to ~5.7 ohms.

Get non-inductive resistors [message #39825 is a reply to message #39814] Fri, 10 January 2003 10:34 Go to previous messageGo to next message

Sure, you can use the inexpensive wirewound resistors, and you might not notice the difference between them and the more expensive non-inductive parts. But even the good stuff is only a couple bucks a piece, so I recommend you go ahead and spring for non-inductive resistors instead.
