can i take a sony xplode sub, say 10", 400watts, and hook it into a sony home stereo?
what do i need to do so if it's posible?
can i connect it without getting and amp?
etc?

It is possible, just connect it as you would any other speaker. As for performance, I'm not sure what you'll get. I'm not terribly familiar with Sony car stereo stuff, except that I have one of their little CD players in my Porsche. It sounds pretty good, but to tell the truth, I hate the animated light show they put on the front panel.

Don't waste your time and money, xplodes are absolutely horrible excuses for subwoofers...
