im planning on buying a Bottlehead system, and so i would need high sensitivity speakers. even if i buy a Consonance Ella (my alternate), which is said not to need high-sensitivity speakers, i still want them. so are these things ok with really low power?

Hi Bikehorn.

If you do a search on "tube friendly" you'll see lots of people have asked exactly that question. There's lots of people with SET low power amps that are thrilled with their PI speakers.

As Grant said, the Studio Series, Thermionics and the Theater Series four and seven π Speakers are perfect for use with SET's. In particular, the amps you've mentioned are very popular with π Speaker owners, and I think you'll enjoy the combination.

Theater 4pi with a bottlehead preamp, consonance billie amps. Very sweet setup. Way too loud if you crank it up. They work great together.
